Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the Chairman of Dangote Group, has distanced himself from fake news circulating on whatsapp and social media that he said he is more affected with the current economic realities than common Nigerians.

Dangote, in a statement urged the good people of the country to dismiss the news as fake, unfounded and baseless. He is hoping that good times are coming ahead.

“Anything that affects Nigerians affects us”, said the statement.

“Like every other Nigerian, we buy essential food items in the market for our own use and give out to the needy as means of charity.” Dangote said.

The African richest man wondered how some unscrupulous elements are hellbent in pitching his company against the Federal Government, emphasizing that he is a businessman not a politician, and not at any time he ever criticized the government.
