As preparations for the 2026 Hajj gain momentum, Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has embarked on an ambitious remodelling and upgrade of the Mando Hajj Transit Camp. Upon completion, the facility is expected to stand out as the finest of its kind in the country.

The Governor’s intervention is effectively bringing a touch of the Holy Land to Kaduna. The camp is being outfitted with “hotel-like” accommodations that meet international standards for sleeping in case of flight delay, with dedicated sections for males and females, alongside an ultra-modern hall, a dedicated ICT centre, and upgraded sanitary facilities.

To ensure a seamless experience, the administration has also delivered tarred internal roads, new business stalls, and modern DTA rooms for both genders. These upgrades are backed by a guarantee of constant power and water, all protected by a reinforced security network.

Beyond the infrastructure, Governor Sani has donated a fleet of new CNG buses to the Pilgrims Board to ease transportation logistics. These improvements, coupled with a commitment to better feeding and high-quality accommodation, signal a new era of comfort and dignity for Kaduna pilgrims throughout the 2026 Hajj operations.
