Governor of Borno Zulum

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum has released N55.9m medical school fees for 153 students studying various courses at the Federal University of Health Sciences (FUHS), Azare.

The disbursements of fees; are to enable the students study dentistry, medicine and radiology in the University sited in Bauchi State.

Zulum, who spoke through the Executive Secretary, Borno State Scholarship Board (BOSB), Bala Isa, disclosed that “Other admitted medical students are to undergo courses in nursing, optometry, audiology, and environmental health.”

Besides, he added that other medial courses comprised Information Technology (IT), health informatics, physiotherapy, epidemiology and statistics, nutrition and dietetics.

He also quoted the Governor, as advising the students to work hard to justify the efforts of the State government.

Isa, therefore, assured them that the support would be sustained throughout their studies, and lauded the Zulum administration’s commitment to the education and health sectors.

“The support is in line with the State’s desire to assist students from poor families to attain their full potentials in life,” he said.
