The Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Binta Mamman, stated this in a statement in Minna weekend.

She stated that “It is to enable civil servants and political office holders participate in the distribution and monitoring of the palliatives and Ramadan feeding in their various local government areas.”

She implored civil servants and political office holders to see the task as a call for service to humanity and urged citizens to cooperate with the officials and be orderly at all distribution and feeding points for smooth and successful exercise.

Hon. Mamman added that a total sum of N976m would be expended for Ramadan feeding across the Eight Emirate Councils in the state, adding that the assorted grains would be distributed to all the 25 LGAs, Emirate councils, religious leaders, security agencies and political parties to cushions hardship in the land.

She said the state government has set up Ramadan feeding centres in all the eight Emirate councils with emirs as coordinators.

She appealed to those responsible for the distribution and coordination of the palliatives and Ramadan feeding to fear God and be fair in carrying out the task.
