The Dangote Group, a multinational industrial conglomerate, founded by Aliko Dangote, has been ranked the 12th richest company in Africa according to reports.

Dangote Group employs more than 30,000 people, generating revenue in excess of US$4.1 billion in 2017.

In the report, 11 South African owned companies were ranked in the first eleven while Dangote took the twelfth position with a net worth of $7.3 billion.

Naspers Limited a South African owned multinational internet, technology and multimedia holding company is ranked first with a networth of  $31.49 billion.

MTN Group Limited, a South African multinational corporation and mobile telecommunications provider is ranked number 7 with a net worth of $8.3 billion.
