A former National Secretary of the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC), Usman Alhaji has said that the National Judicial Commission (NJC) would soon flag off investigation into the Certified True Copy claimed and presented by the Kano State Government on the state governorship Appeal judgment in Abuja.

Alhaji, who is the immediate past Secretary to the State Government, was speaking on behalf of a political group, Volunteers for Democracy and Good Governance, where he urged Nigerians and the parties in the dispute to exercise restraint.

Allhaji , an All Progressives Congress member, insisted that the outcome of the investigation would eventually expose those behind the unpatriotic action and get them to face the wrath of the law.

Alhaji decried the introduction of this new dimension to the political space, “Where the judgment of the 17th November was altered by some faceless elements all in a desperate bid to grab power through unconstitutional means”.

Speaking further, he accused the New Nigeria People Party’s (NNPP) government of attempting to instigate and organize violence in the state with a view to intimidating the apex court to rule in their favour.

“We don’t know when violence has become a tool for changing the course of justice; neither do we know when International Organizations have become superior to our constitution and courts of justice, ”he insisted.

“It is our belief that the Kwankwasiiyya “Sect” is in flagrant defiance of the law and its process of peaceful settlement of grievances and conflicts” he asserted while urging them to rethink their political style as it would never stand the test of time.

“Volunteer for Democracy and Good Governance wishes to call on all concerned individuals or organizations to stand against this disdainful ,unruly and infamous behavior by the red cap group that is capable of derailing the entire democracy” he held.
