The Management of Urban Shelter Estate Developer Managing has said it is investing over N50 billion in the economy of Kaduna state with a 200 Hectares Housing project in Millennium city.

Managing Director, Urban Shelter, Hajiya Sadiya Aminu while speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the housing project yesterday in Kaduna, expressed gratitude for the ongoing partnership with the state government.

She noted that since 2015, Urban Shelter has successfully developed over 28 hectares in Millennium City, investing over N50 billion in the local economy and employing Kaduna-based contractors and consultants.

According to her, the company has also contributed to the community through social responsibility initiatives, including road construction and green energy projects.

In his remarks, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to addressing the housing deficit with the launch of a new 200-hectare housing project in Millennium City.



Represented by his Deputy, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, Gov. Sani emphasized that this initiative is a key component of the government’s broader strategy to provide affordable housing for residents of the state.

He said Urban Shelter is a key player in the housing sector and has committed to developing the 200-hectare site under a Development Lease Agreement with the Kaduna State Government.

His presence at the event underscored the importance of this development project, which is set to contribute to the growth and modernization of the housing sector in the region.



Also speaking, the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmad Bamali commended Urban Shelter for its significant contributions to Kaduna’s development and for its quality work and investment in the state.

He offered prayers for the continued success and expansion of their initiatives saying, “The ceremony marks a significant journey in Kaduna State’s ongoing efforts to boost its housing sector and improve the lives of its citizens.
