Governor Uba Sani was hosted by the Development Director, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Cynthia Rowe at the British Council, Abuja, which also had the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, H.E. Richard Montgomery in attendance.

The discussions centered around strengthening the existing partnership between the FCDO, the UK Government and the Kaduna State Government, especially in the areas of Education, Agriculture, Health, Human Capital Development, and Social Protection.

In their remarks, the British High Commissioner and Development Director, FCDO acknowledged Kaduna State Government’s unwavering commitment towards actualizing the Kaduna State Development Plan. They hailed Kaduna for being the best in the Eyes and Ears Monitoring System using the Open Government Partnership (OGP) and always being the first in Reforms Initiative and management having both federal and other state governments taking a cue from Kaduna. They also informed us that many British investors have expressed interest in investing in Kaduna State.

While thanking the British High Commission and the FCDO for prioritising Kaduna State, Governor Uba Sani expressed delight at the huge impact so far made in the state by the FCDO Programs in improving the lives of the poor, vulnerable and underserved. A key outcome of the meeting was the setting up of a Joint KDSG/FCDO Team to engage with investors and furnish them with information on investment – friendly policies and incentives.
