According an unverified report on social media claimed that 78% of rice cultivated in Kebbi State are from Yauri.
Yauri is the third biggest rice market in Kebbi state after Argungu (second) and Bunza been the (first).
These three towns sets Friday as weekly market days for rice trading because Kebbi farmers cultivate rice throughout the year, every week all year round thousands of rice traders from different parts of Nigeria and bordering francophone countries storm Kebbi markets for different varieties of rice.
