The All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Committee on True Federalism held a zonal public hearing for Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi states today at the Seat of the Caliphate.
Governors of Sokoto, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal; Zamfara, Abdulaziz Yari, represented by his deputy, Malam Ibrahim Wakkala; and Kebbi, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu attended the event.
Plateau State Governor, Hon Simon Bako Lalong, who is also the Chairman of the APC Committee on True Federalism for North West, graced the all-important event.
Various groups from the three states made presentations on important issues like structure of the country, fiscal federalism, creation of more states or merger of some, land tenure system, local government autonomy, independent candidature, power sharing and rotation, among others.
