The Centre for Community and Rural Eye Care Initiative, ICare, whose motto is Reducing Blindness in our Communities in conjunction with the Kebbi state government is holding free Cataract Microsurgical Eye-Camps in the new Kalgo Medical Center in Kebbi State
The free Sight restoring cataract surgery with intra-ocular lens to patients blinded by cataract Kalgo commences from Wednesday 25th October to Friday 10th November and is for patients from Kebbi State and environs.
Highly trained specialists will conduct the cataract surgeries bringing this much-needed service to the doorstep of the less privileged.
Post surgical medication and eye glasses are also being provided free by the Moses Lake Medical Team currently having a medical outreach in the same hospital.
Surgeons and Board members of I care include Dr Fatima Kyari FWACS MSc PhD, Professor Nasiru Muhammad FWACS MSc, Dr Mohammed Adamu FWACS MSc, and Dr Saka FWACS.
