Gombe gov backs Goje, Bulus’ expulsion from APC
Governor Muhammadu Yahaya of Gombe State has applauded the state’s All Progressives Congress (APC) for expelling Senators Danjuma Goje (Gombe Central) and Amos Bulus Kilawangs (Gombe South).
APC gave Goje and Kilawangs the marching for alleged anti-party activities during the last general elections in the state.
Addressing newsmen, yesterday, at the Sani Abacha International Airport, Lawanti, Gombe, after a three-week break for lesser hajj, Governor Yahaya said he was in tune with happenings in the state, while away in Saudi Arabia.
His words: “I am a member of APC. Whatever the party has done, I support.
“APC in the country, especially in Gombe, has good leadership. No one, no matter how highly-placed, is above the party.”
The governor, however, promised to continue with developmental projects that earned him second term in office.
