The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) has said that no fewer than thirty thousand (30,000) teachers across the country have registered for the 2nd edition of the national online conference.

The Registrar/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TRCN Professor Segun Ajiboye made this disclosure on Friday.

Ajiboye while speaking noted that only the 30,000 teachers who registered, will participate in the online capacity-building conference.

He added that the online conference is one of the institutionalized mechanisms put in place by the council to fulfil the mandates of TRCN.

He said the conference with the theme “Strengthening Teacher Capacity for more resilient, transformative and inclusive education system” is being organised in collaboration with UNESCO.

Ajiboye while speaking further explained that the TRCN will continue to seek ways of improving the capacity of registered teachers towards qualitative delivery of their mandates.

He insisted that some of the speakers billed to speak at the conference included the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu who is expected to declare the conference open.

He explained further that the council will not rest on its oars towards getting the knowledge of registered teachers updated.

“The 2022 annual conference of registered teachers is the 2nd edition of the conference and over 30,000 participants have registered online.

“While about 9000 followers are expected to follow on our social media handles such as Facebook streaming live.
