The residents of Gama quarters in Nassarawa local government area of Kano State on Saturday morning were thrown into confusion as the corpse of a 6-year old boy was found slaughtered and covered in the grassy spot behind a building block of the veterinary hospital of that community.
According to the local resident account, who craved for anonymity said that the body was found by the security man who alerted the residents while reporting to duty early of that morning.
“The inhuman killing was committed somewhere on Friday night, brought and hidden the body in the hospital vicinity through the midnight” he alleged.
He added that the corpse had already stiffed, throat slit, and no traces of blood which will indicate that the murder was carried out at the same spot.
Reports say, the Gama community ward-head Mal. Rabe Isyaku upon his arrival to the scene had reported the matter to the nearby divisional police officer, who ordered the immediate removal of the corpse for further investigation.
At the time of filing this report, no arrest was made, and all efforts to heard from a man said to be the victim’s father, Mallam Musa Baba was not forthcoming.
