
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commissioned a 500 capacity Computer Based Test (CBT) Centre at the Air Force Girls Comprehensive School Jos. The newly commissioned CBT Centre would serve as an accredited centre for all computer based test examinations for students of the Air Force Girls Comprehensive School, Air Force Military School Jos and other schools within the host community in Plateau State. Also, a 200 capacity Junior Boys’ Hostel and 3 classroom blocks were remodelled and renovated to further contribute to the welfare of students in the school while ensuring a more conducive atmosphere for learning. Furthermore, a new Corporals and Below Mess was commissioned for Junior Non-Commissioned Officers in the Unit to further boost their morale through the provision of more recreational facilities.
The Commander 551 NAF Station Jos, Group Captain AK Bello, commissioned the new projects on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar. In his remarks at the ceremony, the representative of the CAS appreciated the commitment of the NAF leadership in making the welfare of all NAF personnel and their families a priority and for continuously investing in the educational development of the country. The Commander then advised personnel to ensure good use and adequate maintenance of the newly commissioned projects to enhance durability.
The current NAF leadership has continued to invest in massive infrastructural development on NAF bases across the country towards enhancing personnel welfare and providing more educational facilities.
