Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari.
Northern Patriotic Front (NPF) said on Sunday that the people of Borno State were not part of the protesters calling for the removal of Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari.
The NPF President, Ali Abacha told newsmen in Abuja, that the Borno people were firmly behind Kyari in his bid to deliver on the mandate of his office.
“I stand before you all to disassociate the well-meaning people of Borno State from the recent protest and outcry staging in some sections in Abuja by some people parading themselves as Borno indigenes for the removal of the Chief of Staff to the President.
“I must state here that it is only the Almighty Allah that knows where these people came from. It is very clear that these people are seeking relevance or they were paid to do so. Be that as it may be, the call for the sack of Abba Kyari is not the voice of the good people of Borno.
“We are praying for him that the Almighty Allah give him wisdom and protection for him to function effectively and efficiently in discharging his duties.
“We are solidly behind him. We support him and we are always ready to work for and with him,” Abacha said.
He also cautioned political actors against imposition of candidates in the state ahead of the 2019 general elections, adding that those who do not have the capacity to deliver dividend of democracy to Nigerians should not be voted.
