Dangote Sokoto Rice Factory Moves Closer to Reality

Plans by Dangote Industries Ltd to establish a world class rice milling factory in Sokoto moves closer to reality when the Executive Director in charge of stakeholders management and corporate communication of the company, Engr Mansur Ahmed, gave progress report on the project to Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal at the Government House in Sokoto.
The project, to be sited at Runji Village of Kware LGA, will, upon completion, produce 250,000 metric tonnes of rice. According to the ED, some components of the equipment needed for the factory have arrived the country while a few others are expected to arrive Nigeria in a matter of weeks.
He estimates that the Dangote Rice Mill will come on stream by December 2018.
To support the initiative, the state government has allocated land to the company. Governor Tambuwal promised to complete all the process of handing over the land within 21 days.
