Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi Lamido Sanusi yesterday January 11th 2018 commissioned the newly built Indimi Faculty of Minerals and Petroleum built and furnished by Nigeria’s Business Mogul Alhaji Muhammadu Ndimi in International University of Africa Khartoum, Sudan.
The official Commissioning of INDIMI Faculty of Minerals and Petroleum Resources by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sunusi II at the International University of Africa, Khartoum, Sudan.
According to the founder of the University, Dr. Muhammad INDIMI indigene of Borno State, Nigeria, the Faculty is one of its kind in Sudan Universities, adding that from the establishment of the University, a number of Faculties were created to widen the scope of Education given.
In his remarks, Professor Kamal Mohammed Ubaid, the Vice Chancellor of the International University of Africa in Sudan, said he was in the State to actualize the signing of the MoU between the University of Maiduguri and his institution, and commended Dr. Mohammed Indimi for facilitating the programme, adding that a committee has been put in place for implementation.
He maintained that because Dr. Mohammed Indimi’s passion for education by building the Faculty of Mineral and Petroleum in the University, it has earned him an appointment as a board member of the institution.
The Governor of Jigawa State Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar also attended the annual event of International University of Africa Khartoum, Sudan to witness the commissioning of Ndimi Faculty of Minerals and Petroleum built and furnished by Nigeria’s Business Mogul Alhaji Muhammadu Ndimi.
The building was commissioned by the Emir of Kano Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II and was also witnessed by many dignitaries from different parts of the country.
Governor Muhammad Badaru presented an award to Shehu of Borno Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi, Emir of Kano Mal. Muhammadu Sanusi II, Deputy Governor of Kano State Prof. Hafizu Abubakar, Deputy Governor of Borno State Alhaji Usman Durkwa, the Emir of Gombe Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar and other recipients.
Governor Badaru was also taken round to inspect different faculties, departments facilities and University Farm.
