The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) has “observed the effort of the governors of Katsina, Yobe, Kano and Lagos (in) promoting the healthcare delivery system of their states”.
This is part of the communique under the section “Observations” issued at the end of the NEC meeting of the association, which held in Lagos between 10th and 17th December 2017.
Some may recall that four weeks ago, the Society of obstetrics and gynaecology of Nigeria (SOGON) had conferred honorary membership of the Society on H.E Governor Gaidam for his effort in promoting and improving the health of women and children.
Yobe State chapter of the NMA had also conferred an award of excellence on Governor Gaidam for transforming the state’s healthcare sector during an NMA Yobe event two weeks ago.
These recognition and awards clearly show that under H.E Gov. Ibrahim Gaidam, Yobe is making demonstrably significant progress in the healthcare of its people.
